It was previously announced by CQ that all results for the 2017 CQ World Wide DX Contest would be re-scored based on the return to the usual and accepted methodology for handling duplicate QSOs.

(Hicksville, NY) May 14, 2018 – Former CQ magazine Contesting Editor, CQ Contest Hall of Famer and longtime CQ World Wide DX Contest Committee member John Dorr, K1AR, has been named Director of the CQ World Wide DX Contest, CQ magazine Publisher Dick Ross, K2MGA, announced today. John succeeds Doug Zwiebel, KR2Q, who has been CQWW Director for the past two years, and who has stepped down for personal reasons. The CQWW DX Contest is amateur radio’s most popular contest and may be the world’s largest competitive sporting event in terms of numbers of participants.
