K1AR New Director of CQ WW

(Hicksville, NY) May 14, 2018 – Former CQ magazine Contesting Editor, CQ Contest Hall of Famer and longtime CQ World Wide DX Contest Committee member John Dorr, K1AR, has been named Director of the CQ World Wide DX Contest, CQ magazine Publisher Dick Ross, K2MGA, announced today. John succeeds Doug Zwiebel, KR2Q, who has been CQWW Director for the past two years, and who has stepped down for personal reasons. The CQWW DX Contest is amateur radio’s most popular contest and may be the world’s largest competitive sporting event in terms of numbers of participants.

2016 CQ WW DX Contest Phone Raw Scores

Just 8.5 days after the end of the 2016 CQ WW DX Contest Phone, we are happy to report that the raw scores for all entries received by 8Nov2016 1200z are available on the web site.

The raw scores are the calculated score before any log checking or other adjustments are made. These scores may not match what you submitted exactly as our country file may be different than yours and you may have some QSOs where the call/country could not be determined.

These are NOT the final results.  Scores may change by 5-10% (or more) depending on the log checking.  Final results will appear in the March 2017 issue of CQ Magazine.

New REST API for CQWW Score Records

A new REST API has been created to provide access to the CQ WW Score Records.  This programming interface can be used by other web sites and logging software to integrate score records into their applications. They were created at the request of Dmiry R4WW, the programmer behind the cq-contest.net online scoreboard.

The APIs are easy to use and fully documented at http://www.cqww.com/api_reference.htm .
