I had to help a blind amateur with change antennas and turn them in this contest, And I also make my portable antenna for 20 meter finish so first 12 QSO's was on the home made dipole. The rest was on a 5 elm. Good feeling | 9L1A | SO HP ALL | In order to give 9L multiplier to as many stations as possible during the power off times I was adding wires to the 40m vertical mounted on a Spiderbeam pole. The one-band antenna farm ended up with a four band, 40-10m vertical. The only 80m contact was with D4C, through an internal K3 tuner. No attempts to load 40m vertical on 160m. 9L1A (E73A/9A3A opr.) | 9M6/NR1J | SO LP ALL | Operated from Kota Kinabaru This is the first time I participated in the contest | 9M8DX | SA LP ALL | I appreciate hospitality and assistance from 9M8RC club members during my stay in Kuching. QUAD | DB0RC | MSH | Again thanks for the people at DB0MHB for the hospitality. This time DL8RDS was much more available. Yet has much to learn in contesting. But practice always is good. (This view is presented by DL1KSE) Yet again, this time it revealed, that some improvements are needed at the station. HF Noise needs to be eliminated, which seems not to be very easy. Due to the nature of common 12V DC to 230V AC inverters. At least with affordable ones. The current idea of DL1KSE is to prepare some equipment used and brought by him, to operate on 12V DC. Yet computers used should be also be able to use 12V DC. Some solutions like small Intel ATOM computers and small TFT could work, but needs car to transport. And does cost something again :) Also there seems to be, that some huge improvements could be done at the antennas. It again revealed, that interference is present. It revealed, that likewise the used CB antenna was not causing problems. It seems, some distance of the operating equipment from the antennas would be very good. Also some more height for the HF antenna would be feasible. (Unless restriction by regulations of law) | DC4A | SO HP ALL | Only had a few hours of time.
