| OT7T | MULTI-OP DISTRIBUTED | Past weekend we had a great time again with the OT7T Team dsitributed more or less over our country . Not as many operators as we had hoped but nevertheless a good result . Bands where distributed to several locations as there where : 10 m at ON6VL - Vito alone 15 m at ON4AMX - ( Clubstation of HCC OR6T ) Ops ON4AMX and ON4ALY Marc and Xavier 20 m at ON7TK-Ops:ON5OO,ON5RA,OR2F,and heavy tech man ON4CJK,Jacques , Pascal,Ljubo and Jose with their hosts Carine ON7LX and Claude ON7TK 40 m at OR7K - Joseph OR7K,Fero ON9EEE and Jelle ON6PJ 80 m at ON7TK - Ops ON5OO,ON5RA,OR2F 160 m at ON4DS and ON4AMX - Jim and Marc Multiplier chasers where Pat ON4AMI,Thierry ON4TH,Jim ON4DS Switching bands and locations was very often necessary for multiple reasons such as minibreak for eating , bathroomvisits , but not for tech problems at all .We had nil problems with the network or with logging into N1MMplus.Only little issue was the few Ops left to finish of the contest as most of the others had to get home and work on monday. We will have to get some more retirees into the team .Condx where pretty bad especially on saturday with heavy arctic flutter especially on 15 . It was great to be with all of us together even in a distance . The mood was great . Thank You all and especially all the hosts and hostess Carine . Thanks for the qso's , sorry for those we missed . Let us keep silent for a while sometimes for all the 2025 Silent keys and the peoples in distress all over the world . Till the next big ones . Best dx and 73 / 88 Jim ON4DS / OP5T Team leader |

| OX7AM | SA HIGH ALL | Time flies when you’re having fun! CQ WW CW 2025 was my 10th contest from Greenland and without a doubt the roughest. There really is no mercy for the wicked up here. I started off by arriving in Kangerlussuaq on Wednesday after two days of work in Nuuk. I then immediately came down with a fever 12 hours after. I was miserable and felt weak. The QTH I'm using has the basics but there's always a lot of work to do to turn it into a functioning contest station. Adding to this was that the 160/80m antenna turned out to be broken and I had tons of other small problems to fix. I was running out of time. Friday came and I felt better. I managed to make an improvised vertical for 160 and a dipole for 80. I worked very hard all day and the station got ready only 2.5 hours before the contest. Needless to say I was exhausted from the very start. The first couple of hours went okay. The K Index had been hovering around 4 for a few days and lots of small solar flares kept making my life exceedingly difficult. A few hours in, my rate started dropping. I was lucky to work a few contacts on 160 and 80, but then propagation took a turn for the worse. Every single signal started hissing. I'd learned from previous years that doing the full 48 hours is counter productive for most people and especially for me. A couple of naps were on the menu from the start and I decided to take one. I slept for about two hours and got back up only to find the bands were in an even worse shape. All day I was fighting for QSOs. I had managed about 1300 when sunset rolled around on Saturday. 1300 hissing, fluttering, screeching QSOs. My pileups became huge as people started to realise I was there and they needed me for perhaps a double mult. That's normal and is in part the reason I go up here. A big pileup is great. I love that stuff - the bigger the better! But, a pileup of 100 stations all with crazy flutter is indistinguishable from torture. During a contest there is no waiting. People just call and you better keep up or they start panicking and all matters of decency and discipline go out the window. This was too much. I lost it. My mind. This contest broke me. I had overworked myself and now I had to pay the price. I had to throw in the towel as hallucinations had set in and my head was spinning. So I slept again. For six hours. I got up with the Sun on the second day, but everyone was still hissing at me. Usually you say that at the 24 hour mark you can estimate your final score by doubling your points. I was at around a measly million at this point so I needed nothing short of a miracle – or go home in shame with the worst result in over 10 years. Then it happened. 10 meters saved my sanity as it opened because it is much less susceptible to the flutter. Slowly rates climbed and I finally got above 200 QSOs per hour in bursts. Around midday the K Index dropped to 3 and then to 2. It was showtime! I started picking up the pieces. My pileups became so big that they were almost impossible to manage and my rate dropped to 150-170 QSOs per hour – this time because of the sheer number of stations calling. I kept at it - trying to work mults on the second radio at the same time with limited success. I went into this thinking I'd do some 2BSIQ but at this point in the contest it was out of the question. One pileup was more than enough to handle. OX is a special place. Being on top of the world you have unique propagation conditions where all corners of the world may come in at the same time. The biggest pileups I've ever had have been in CQ WW in Greenland by far. I imagine it's easier if you're at a less rare DXCC. I of course also just need to get much better at what I do. This time wasn't it. During the final ten hours of the contest I more than tripled my mult count. 10 and 15 showed their pretty side at night with ZL7, KH6, and VK/ZL getting into my log. I pretty much kept my rate going while working mults on the side. It was wonderful! The contest ended on a high note and I've never been this thoroughly tested before. So why the heck do I keep doing this? Because, when it works it is absolutely magical! It's just a shame it's such a rare treat. Thanks to everyone who called and answered! 73 es CU all next year, - Nadi OX7AM/OZ7AM |

| PA4WM | SA HIGH 10M | I decided to go single band 10m this time... As long as we are in the maximum sunspot years. At times I thought the conditions were not so great, and on sunday morning I did not hear a single JA station, but a few minutes later I worked the Pacific loud. The hours before sunset in EU there was a great opening to the Americas. So, that was ten... that was fun! CU all next time. Martin PA4WM |
| PA5CT | SA LOW ALL | Sunday-afternoon entry in the contest Good condx, almost every station heard was workable with 100W, so no PA needed :) TRX: K3, Ant. FB23, 40M low dipole Tnx and see you next year! 73 de Claudia PA5CT |

| PB2X | SO LOW ALL | I entered this year just to play with my new FT- 991A - before a DX-expedition to YB5 in January 2026. Very basic setup - Ft991A running 90W to a 6.2M vertical with an UNUN at the feedpoint, logging was using Polo - an android telephone app!! It worked perfectly, very fast and super easy to use. I entered the Classic overlay mode on SO-AB-LP. So was active less that 24 hours |
