| OG6N | SA HIGH ALL | Disturbed conditions made this one mostly an S&P DXing excercise. I still have some issues with the station but hopefully there will be some time to resolve a few of them during the Christmas holidays |

| OK1CF | SA HIGH 160M | I participated just for fun. I only wanted to test my setup. Throughout the year the 160 m band is practically empty, and only during CQ WW CW is it possible to check how my antennas work. I am sending the log for checking so that I do not adversely affect the stations that were competing seriously |
| OK1DWC | CHECKLOG | Good testing rog and antenna with low power. Thanks |

I made 3Qs on 160 to check band. Anyway, small effort only, some disgrace signals still present?21st century? Good fun, good activty. vertical phased array + Inv - LZ1AQ Phased |

| OL5Y | SA LOW ALL | After successfully qualifying for the WRTC, I decided to compete in the SOA category. CW is a completely different universe, thanks to the thousands of spots that are available. However, the contest started with bad luck for me - my alarm clock failed and I woke up on my own, fortunately only 30 minutes after the start of the contest. This did not help my commitment to 'go all out,' and on top of that, I did not prepare as I had planned just before the start - food/drink, stretching exercises, shower... I clearly didn't get off to a good start – compared to last year, when I was unassisted, I was losing dramatically. I was frustrated by how difficult it was to make QSO, and it was much harder than I was used to. At sunrise, I was losing an estimated 200 QSO compared to last year. I calmed myself down a little by telling myself that the CONDX on 40m wasn't very good, and I was happy with the many multipliers I managed to make, even though it was only the beginning of the contest and the competition with HP stations was tough. With the light outside, I started to focus on 10/15m as well, which paid off, even though making QSOs was very difficult here too. Although I started to feel tired in the morning and began to fall asleep, I decided to adjust my strategy and not relax at all on the first day. I went to sleep for a few hours only after the 15m band closed and the rates on the other bands dropped – I knew I wouldn't last 48 hours (and I didn't even want to try) and so I had to rest. And when 90% of the traffic is from the EU, it's the best time to do so. I got up at 02:30Z and from then on I made it to the end of the contest without any crises – so I consider this tactic a success. Just before the contest, I finished the listening magnetic loop with electronics from LZ1AQ (active-antenna.eu - the idea and the design are amazing, and the price is good - I definitely recommend it). In addition, I added a switch for the RX antenna for the FTDX10 and a splitter - both top-quality products from hamparts.shop. Due to unfavorable weather, I didn't finish until Friday before the contest, so my first experience was during the contest. And it's amazing – absolutely phenomenal on 80 m. I can only compare it with transmitting antennas (inv. V), and switching to loops is like turning off a noise generator. Stations on the edge of readability become perfectly readable. I didn't notice such a significant difference on 160 m, but I will continue to investigate. In any case, this two-meter 'thing' is a game changer for me on 80 m. On Saturday evening, I discovered that the 6el/15m monobander cannot be turned to the northwest (for some reason, it gets stuck at about 250 degrees). During daylight hours on Sunday, I went to see if I could find the cause, e.g., in a broken wire antenna, but that's not it. It looks like the cables around the rotator box are tangled (last week it snowed and the snow froze) - I have to investigate with a drone and fix it. So Sunday's opening to the US on 15m was without my best antenna, but 10m worked so well that I didn't even have much time to use 15m. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach any stations from the US/CA on 160m this time :-( I heard several of them. During the contest, I was very motivated by the 'online' battle with DL3YM (congratulations on the result) - we took turns in 2nd place for most of the contest, but on Sunday afternoon I managed to break away somehow. Apart from 4U1A, who achieved a great result and cannot be compared to, EA1X 'miraculously' appeared in the SOA LP category after the end of the contest, with a phenomenal result. However, I cannot compare myself to stations from the southwest of the EU either, so I am satisfied with the final result. Of course, apart from the amazing thrill that participating in CQ WW always is. The results of the SO stations in the top positions are always very fascinating to me. This year, the result of N6TJ with 12,700 QSOs and the impressive 9,200 QSOs in LP by AA3B are completely unimaginable to me. Congrats all! Thank you all for calling me or answering my call! 73!
