I4JEESO LOW 160MAlways an interesting and unique contest, I wanted to use my inverted 'Low Win' and choose 160 meters. - Too bad the antenna is not very functional and the band is very noisy - both in the 2 evenings - signals below 559 - and only European ones

II2PSA LOW ALLTU ALL
II2QSA HIGH ALLI intended to participate to this one on a reduced effort, but once balls were rolling I could not stop. At the end I increased my best score from last year by ~6%, not a big number but considering I also had longer breaks, I am very satisfied. 20m were death at the contest start, so I spent the first 2 hours running on 40/80, then the rest of the competition has been all the time trade-off between run and mult catching, excepts some focused run during the NA openings. On Saturday, there were not much of US west coast stations on 10-15 and a lot of signals from central/north US were affected by aurora distortion. On Sunday the conditions on the high bands improved a lot. Anyways 10-15 closed quite early after the sunset, and also 20m didn't go for long time. In general signals strength on high bands was average on even lower. On the lower bands, the noise was really low and signals were very clear, on 80, I worked easily ZL7 after my sunrise on Sunday. On 40m, there was a very good opening with big signals with JA/BY/YB and other far east on Sunday ~2 hours before the end. Overall a very enjoyable weekend! Congratulations to Dan, the new record will last many years if not for ever, kudos to Chris as well, for his effort from Madeira. Thanks everyone to call-in, 73's Luca IK2PFL
