| IR4B | SO HIGH 10M | A very busy contest week end on 10m. with such high sunspot numbers (171 day 1, 206 day 2) band was full from down to 28.250 to above 29MHz. A big surprise to work Socotra Is., 7O2A, in zone 37 activated by Dima just for this contest, and to work 2 Hawaiian stations via LP to South Pole. At times it was possible to work some stations not too far away only with antenna to long path. I had a great time but saturday I missed some hours in the morning to start contest. Power out closely measured at 500W PEP with LP-100A wattmeter, Antenna 3 el Ultrabeam, rig TS590, one tetrode tube amplif. I declare I operated within our power limit and rules |
