| TF3T | SO HIGH ALL | TF3T SOAB HP This contest had very stark contrast between high and low here in the north. I was very pepped for the contest, but Saturday was just so hard, it was like there was a blanket over me - I could hear ok, but just not getting through. 40m was basically dead in the evening - real struggle, I got a run on 160m - 80q including K1LZ and some DX'es. 80m was challenging as I did not have a good TX signal apparently - just not getting through, getting a pileup with a low signal is so hard, constant report repeating and confusion. I started Sunday around 10:00 turned on the radio on 10m and boom, big EU pileup, moved QRG and just used the 6el yagi towards NA - 220q per hour - 400 SA/NA stations in the log. Got few good runs on 20/15m in the evening and finally got some Q's on 40m - including 20-30 JA's and some VK's. More points than last year with fewer Q's. Thanks for all the contacts ! 73 de TF3T |
