| LA4C | MULTI-TWO | Bad things happened in the antenna farm. Had to use subsitutes for 15 and 10 (vertical for 3 el beam) and for 80 (vertical for dipole). When 10m opened Sunday afternoon we found our 3 el beam with one element missing superior to the vertical, tuned it up and enjoyed the 10m bonanza. We learned a few things about antenna and radio maintenance and starting the work long time before the test weekend |

Temporary antenna setup takes 5 days 3 persons to raise : 1x Hexbeam at 12m, 1x Spiderbeam at 15m, Vertical for 40, Vertical for 80, Inverted L for 160, K9AY RX reception. No technical problems experienced all worked well as well as IT part. Very fun and human experience.ON4EI |

CQ WW is one of my favorite contests. But now when ruZZia and beloruZZia is alowed to participate, I can not enjoy this contest anymore while ruZZia is killing inocent children and people in Ukraine. I was hoping this year to participate in YOUTH overlay very seriously, but..... So I participated just symbolicaly in this contest and added a few new DXCC for my awards. support I give my points to UKRAINIAN CONTEST CLUB. I hope, that contest commitee will change their minds and will eliminate ruZZia and beloruZZia from these CQ contests |

| LY9A | SO LOW ALL | Shameless 'Updated CQ Contest Policy Relating to Russia's Invasion of Ukraine' ruined my plans to take part in my 49th CQ WW DX SSB Contest. I consider this move as a political CQ staff's decision which probably saves little amount of magazine subscribers, but prevents participants that follow moral principles of most sports activities - to not have any connections with aggressor countries - from serious competition in the event. I consider this CQ move as filling up the fuel tank for Putin's war machine... Therefore only two symbolic QSO's with ES9UKR station were made. I hope CQ will reconsider its amoral decision and will go back to the situation We had before August 31 st |

Elecraft K3 + KPA500. 40m/80m Fan Dipole at 35ft + Cobweb at just 21ft. Dipping in & out for a total of maybe about 24hrs? Nice to find all bands from 10m to 80m open.
