M0BUYSO LOW ALLCondx not great, but very enjoyable contest anyway. Used SD by EI5DI for first time in contest - very easy to use and very efficient - great program
M0GVZSA LOW ALLUnfortunately 80MPH winds brought an early end to the contest for myself and many others in the UK
M0MCVSO LOW ALLAnother year where the contest clashed with my daughter's birthday so missed a big chunk of Sunday night
M0RBESO HIGH ALLTS-990 1322ft Doublet and 20m Dipole Time lost waiting for QRZ merchants to give their call sign! Otherwise a good contest
M1DSTSA LOW ALLDidn't do much operating and closed down very early to take antennas down as the UK is facing a terrible storm
M3WSO HIGH ALLForecast very high winds led to a change of plan to 24 hours operating only
M4AMULTI-TWOGreat contest, great conditions. A pity our antennas weren't at full height due to strong winds. Thanks all!
M4DSA LOW 40MVery good bands conditions and some great DX worked but more to be had! This category is very difficult as it is virtually impossible to run a frequency for more than a few minutes before you get 'stomped on'.Really enjoyed the contest in spite of that. Tnx for all QSOs
M4UMULTI-ONEVery good conditions on HF
M5MUFSO LOW 20M1st ever HF contest entry - enjoyed it but could do with directional antenna and more dynamic range on RX!
M6ADBSO LOW ALLCalling /mobile in a contest seemed to confuse some operators!

N2FFSA LOW ALLWOW!! What an amazing contest. I shared the station with my granddaughter so it was NOT a full time effort. I had a great time packet pouncing on spots. I really enjoyed those loud stations on 10 meters and the BY stations on 20 at the end of the contest. BY0AA was over S9 on 20 meters at the end of the contest and had such a BIG pile on him that I was amazed when he came back to my call. I really did not think he would hear my 100 watts. That was a very BIG thrill. Yes, I can still get thrilled after 52 years. BTW: My granddaughter worked BY also. She is still working toward DXCC. This contest may yield the 5 more that she needs. This effort effort was entirely S & P. I forgot to reserve a place to run and the FCC was sold out once the contest began
N2SLOSO LOW 10MAmazing conditions
N3CAVSO LOW 10MAwesome conditions on 10m
N3IQSA HIGH ALLHad fun in part time effort. Conditions awesome overall
N3QCMULTI-TWOThis year our club made a more serious effort due to our success last year. Everyone was "charged up" and raring to go! Thanks too those who didn't operate but helped set up, watched and learned, and brought food!
N3TDSA LOW ALLI have not seen 10 meters like this in years what a lot of fun. Even with my 6 meters (20ft) and 9 meters (30ft) high antennas I had a great time!
N3TRSO HIGH ALL425 Multis 80-10m. Butt is sore
N3UMSO HIGH ALLMy 12th time doing CQ WW SSB: 2001-2013 inclusive except 2007. My claimed 2013 score of 994 K is my best ever, well above my previous best of 951.7 K in 2002 and next-best 870.6 K in 2003, back when sunspots were plentiful. I got much lower scores in the sunspot drought years 2005-2009, 482 to 598 K, with only tens of QSOs on 10 m. My equipment was essentially comparable in 2002 and 2013, and the operator and approximate level of effort were the same. The primary reason for the personal-best this year was simple: propagation conditions were extraordinary, phenomenal, on both low and high bands, SFI of 165 and K of 0 or 1, occasionally 2. As often happens, the outstanding conditions led to a consistent high level of activity. A secondary reason for my better score in 2013 vs 2002: I got in a good run Sun. on 15 m.: 124 QSOs in 61 min., 1145-1246 Z. A third reason: my 80 m. antenna was better this year, so I could take good advantage of the excellent low-band conditions. On 15 and 20 m. I worked noticeably more than my usual number of distant and semi-rare multipliers: HZ, YB (on 15 and 20), BY, A7, 9K, KH2, KH0, E5 (South Cook Islands), and DU. I also found some relatively rare mults at more average DX distances, reflecting the high activity level: JW, UN, C3, OX (on 20 and 40), VP2M (on 80), EX, SV5, Z6 (Kosovo), and ZP. I hope we're now seeing the much-discussed "second peak" in SFI and that it will last thru this contest season instead of last weekend being just a fluke. In either case, some say that we may see an SFI drought next season and for the rest of the lives of us retirees, so be sure to enjoy every contest this year which has comparable conditions
