A lot of fun using a Yaesu FT-897 (something less than 100W) and a rotative dipole, on 10 meters band. I preferred never call, only answer. I appreciate that a lot of big station make efforts to understand my call despite qrm and my weak signal, I think this is ham spirit too! So I'm very glad to partecipate at CQWW DX SSB Contest 2013. As LP, my running frequency was frequently raided by HP stations, and I had to move all the way up above 28.700MHz, but once someone spotted me on cluster, a small pile-up always emerged. It could not have happened in the days when there was no cluster |
