NN1DX | SO QRP 40M | About 4 Hours |
NN7O | SO LOW ALL | Had fun. This was about practice. Still new to CW contesting. First time to dive into CQ WW. Had a lot of fun! |
NO2D | SO QRP ALL | 80 contacts is one of my better CQ WW DX CW efforts. I was pleased to get as many Pacific contacts as I did. Pete, NO2D |
NO9E | SA HIGH ALL | Operation from my vacation QTH near Washington GA. Flex setup with 6600, PGXL, TGXL and 8x2 switch. JK Mid Tri 40 and JK Mid Tri on 100ft tower. Spiderbeam at 40ft for mutipliers. Home made 35ft high beam from 8 lb carbon fiber mast and 2 lb of carbon fiber fishing poles. For Caribbeans and SA the beam was doing well. I hoped to reach a 2.5k QSOs barrier but no luck due to deteriorating conditions especially on Sunday afternoon. Run frequencies were relatively easy to find. I resisted multiplier hunting and focused on running. Got even short runs of JA on 40m. I feel that my score is reasonable given the conditions and my skills. The Flex gear made me a nervous wreck. First, phantom 'interlock' messages popped up on screen, shutting transmit. Power cycle PGXL and TGXL, and the messages were gone. Then various other messages were appearing and gone, like too much input power and excessive SWR, all spurious. After calling JA and getting no answers it turned out that the antenna switch was switching from a JA beam to SE beam for transmit, all by itself. It did it many times but then I was watching. Finally during a very nice run, the signal from the radio became scratchy to a point where getting callsigns was impossible. After cycling everything, it ended when Flex 6600 was powered down completely (power cord out) and up. The spots from the cluster had many errors. I set up a Skimmer in Flex but it crashed and could not be restarted without rebooting the computer. Next time I will have a Skimmer set up separate from the Flex |
NP2J | SO HIGH 10M | Best 10 Meter conditions in years! Great Fun!! |

NP3CW | SO LOW 10M | Comeback after few yrs out of cw contests. Enjoyed each QSO. Good luck to all, 73 Julio NP3CW |
NP4TT | SO LOW ALL | Absolutely had a blast from NP4TT this weekend! I've been without any HF antennas here for a few months, since the HOA made me remove the last one. So I installed a secret new 'stealth' dipole for 10 and 40 on Saturday (don't tell anyone!). Got it done exactly at the half-way point of the contest (in the dark at 0000Z Sunday). With lots of house guests and other commitments, I only operated maybe 8 hours total, 100 W, and only on 10 and 40. But I was really impressed with how well my new stealth dipole is working! I managed to maintain some solid rate at times (160+ hours and 240+ 10-minute spurts). And that was despite being super rusty (no serious CW operations in 5 years!) and having never used N1MM seriously in a CW contest. At times, I felt like a complete lid as I kept hitting the wrong buttons. Started getting the hang of it at the end. Best part was putting so many familiar calls in the log after such an absence. I really missed all you guys! It feels good to be back |

OA4O | SA HIGH 15M | Fun to be on the other side of the pileups! |
OA4SS | SO LOW ALL | During more than 40 years I had a tower, beam and a 1 kw amplifier. I now only have 'Cat's whiskers' for 10, 15 and 20 on top of a two-story building. I was amazed to have more than 1,000 contacts on those three bands |
