CQ WW Contest Rule XII.A Unsportsmanlike Conduct includes

  1. Signals with excessive bandwidth (e.g., splatter, clicks) or harmonics on other bands.

We often get questions about what we mean by excessive bandwidth. Jukka Klemola, OH6LI, has written an article that helps to illustrate the type of analysis that is possible using the SDR recordings and shows some examples of good and poor signals.

2015 CQ WW CW Multiplier Station QSOs per Hour

Doug KR2Q created the following data from the 2015 CQ WW CW Logs for top Multi-Single stations. The table shows how many QSOs were made by the multiplier station during each hour of the contest. In the CQ WW Multi-Single category, the multiplier station is only permitted to work new multipliers.  It is quite busy in the first day, but becomes much more difficult on the second day.
